Up for auction is this Rare Collectible Pie Bird
Y2K Bluebird
by Shade Tree Pottery
This pie bird measures 4 ¼” and is marked with an “impressed leaf”, dated ’99 and numbered 05.   A similar one is pictured in Linda Fields book, "Four & Twenty Blackbirds" volume 2, page 100.
This special bird was made in Arkansas by the Shade Tree Potter, Mr. Evans, and sold by Dovie Childress.
Mr. Evans began producing pie birds in 1998 and sold 7 basic ‘birds’—
Bantam Rooster * Circus Elephant * Rooster Head * Mallard Duck * Laughing Donkey * Art Deco Rooster * Bird – with a special Y2K Bird.
