Old Green Catalin "Megger" Circuit Ohmmeter - General Electric Co. Ltd. England

Fresh from an estate comes this "Megger" circuit testing ohmmeter, made by the General Electric Co. Ltd. of England. This appears to be an ohmmeter for very low resistances, with two scales, 0 to 3.0 ohms and 0 to 30.0 ohms. It requires three AA batteries to operate (not included).
This unit is used and rather old I would think, based on the construction. It's really in pretty good condition for its age, with the green case varying greatly how it looks depending on the lighting. I put in some batteries and tried it, measuring various lengths of wire, and got readings that seemed reasonable so it seems that it works though I cannot vouch for accuracy since I have nothing else to compare it against.
You can see by the photos that the battery holder has been replaced by a modern plastic holder for common AA batteries.
