    Black Crow Ceramic Pie Bird
    This is a venting tool to use when you bake a double crusted pie.
    The bird sits on the bottom pie crust and pokes his/her head up through the top layer of crust.
    This allows the liquids in the pie (like fruit pies) to vent out of the top of the pie when it bakes.
    Believe me, these work and help make a great pie.
    This is a vintage one. Cleaned up nicely. I find them in antique malls. Time to downsize some.
