    “Uncle Bert” sold pie vents under  the name, Old Sleepy Eye Products, and
    was the pie bird ceramist for Transworld Trading Co.
    .  Due to health reasons he retired in 1992.  His nephew, Forrest Wright and wife Micki (F&M Ceramics), continued his work of over 100 pie vents using both air brushed technique and hand painted applications.
